چکیده

This paper presents a new model for image blending based on warping. The model is represented by partial differential equations (PDEs) and gives a sequence of images, which has the properties of both blending of image intensities and warping of image shapes. We modified the energy functional in [1] in order to adapt the idea of the shape warping to the image blending. The PDEs from the proposed energy functional cover not only overlapped images but also non-overlapped ones. 1 Variational Formulations Given two shapes S and T in the domain Ω, so called the source and the target, respectively, we define φ(x) and ψ(x), x ∈ R, to be signed distance functions having zero values on each shape boundary. To match two shapes, we find two deformation fields u(x) and v(x) ∈ R for the source and the target, respectively, by minimizing the energy functional

Optimal Uni ed Approach to Warping and Overlapped BlockMotion Estimation in Video

Among the class of block-based motion estimators, warping prediction and overlapped block motion estimation have emerged recently as two of the most eeective inter-frame estimation algorithms. Warping estimation is based on linear operations in the motion eld, while overlapped block estimators are based on a linear sum of motion-based estimators in the intensity eld. In this paper, we propose a...

A VARIATIONAL APPROACH TO THE EXISTENCE OF INFINITELY MANY SOLUTIONS FOR DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS

The existence of infinitely many solutions for an anisotropic discrete non-linear problem with variable exponent according to p(k)–Laplacian operator with Dirichlet boundary value condition, under appropriate behaviors of the non-linear term, is investigated. The technical approach is based on a local minimum theorem for differentiable functionals due to Ricceri. We point out a theorem as a spe...

Extending the CSG Tree - Warping, Blending and Boolean Operations in an Implicit Surface Modeling System

Automatic blending has characterized the major advantage of implicit surface modeling systems. Recently, the introduction of deformations based on space warping and Boolean operations between primitives has increased the usefulness of such systems. We propose a further enhancement which will extend the range of models that can be easily and intuitively defined with a skeletal implicit surface s...
